A Prayer of Remembrance
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of our father,
for the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the
memories he left in our hearts.
Though we cannot see him or hold his hand today, we
trust that he is safe in Your loving arms.
Give us strength in the days ahead,
comfort us when we grieve,
and help us carry forward the best of who he was.
May his love continue to guide us,
his wisdom continue to speak to us,
and his memory remain a blessing.
Until we meet again,
hold him close, Lord,
and hold us close as well.
Amen
