The Early Church
May 1, 1900

The Rev. K Knudson was one of the early pioneers of the church in this area and it was largely through his efforts, as well as the interest shown by the Home Missions Board of the Presbyterian Church that a vigorous Presbyterian Church was born which eventually superseded the Religious Alliance of Abbotsford. On the evening of May 1, 1900,  11 people banded together to form the First Presbyterian Church of Abbotsford.  Ministers taking part in the service were Rev. J. Frank Young,  Rev. Joseph Brown and Rev. L.F. Brickels (The former two were from Marshfield). Owen Hughes and M.W. Delap were elected as the first Elders,  R.C. Tennent, F.H. Perkins and Charles Partridge as the first Trustees.  Rev. Knudson was made the stated supply for the coming year and on May 7, 1901 was installed as the first pastor with a salary of $42.00 a month.

We live stream our Sunday Worship Services on our Facebook page.  This is an entension of our mission to share, " The Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed, so that all people may know Him as Lord and Savior,"
